As a tutor I'm very passionate about teaching. I'm working towards receiving a Master of Arts in Teaching at UMUC. I specialize in tutoring in reading and writing. I can help students with essay editing, phonics, literature, grammar, composition, and more. I have a Bachelor of Science in Management and English from the University of Maryland University College, and after graduating I went on to earn a Master of Science in Management/ Master of Business Administration with a focus on public relations. Now I am focused on becoming a teacher and doing what I love: teaching. I've been a reading tutor and a volunteer parent for the DC school district. I'm now working as a teacher with the Academy of Hope where I tutor adults who are working towards their GED. My past tutoring experiences and my role as a teacher at the Academy of Hope have given me the skills to help students succeed. When I'm not teaching I enjoy reading, indulging in mystery shows, and spending time outside and with my family.
